I am selling a 51cm Amiata Genoa full carbon road bike purchased for $2,000 on 6 August 2008 and has been ridden about 6 times by someone who didn’t quite develop the interest in racing bikes that they thought they might. They have switched to a beach cruiser!
The bike is the brand imported by The Bicycle Entreprenuer stores in Perth and is still sold in-store if you want to have a look at sizing. The receipt will be provided so that you have the security of a large retailer to deal with if you need assistance in the future.
The bike, frame and components are all in immaculate condition with a few very light marks on the frame which I will show you on inspection. They are very minor. The wheels have had about 6 months of use because they came from my bike which I ride weekly.
The bike groupset (gears, brakes, chain rings, cassettes, cranks etc) are manufactured by SRAM. While a lot of Australian bikes carry Shimano groupsets, SRAM is a brand that is used by a lot of pros (Lance Armstrong and Tour de France winner Alberto Contador) riding the SRAM Red groupset. The bike I am selling has a SRAM Rival groupset - rated since 2006 as the "best value mid-range road groupset" (bikeradar.com).
If you are familiar with bike brands it will make sense to you to know that, according to Bicycling Magazine's 2009 Buyer's Guide, SRAM Rival is roughly equivalent in price and quality to Centaur in the Campagnolo range and 105 to Ultegra in the Shimano range
I'll do my best to answer any questions you have if you email me.
The bike is available for inspection in Innaloo, Perth, Western Australia.
